It is a glass in half full approach to loss and learning, where a community of women heal, learn and grow together online and in person. God heals hearts through Bible study and prayer. Women offer insight, tools and resources through speakers, book club, holiday connections and social time

No it does not. Grief can be very tricky, difficult, long and hard. The tools and insights offered at Blessed & Inspired are meant to be a part of an entire journey of health and wellness. Women are encouraged to seek advice from fitness, financial, family systems, counseling, community friendships, and local worship communities when creating healthy paths to wellness. If women are struggling with boundaries, family of origin issues, trauma or other emotional issues related to the chaos of grief, we strongly suggest they seek a medial professional licensed in nursing, social work or counseling.

Yes and no. Blessed & Inspired draws on the principles of many 12-Step programs:  Taking responsibility, relying on faith and keeping a grateful outlook would apply. However, Blessed & Inspired is a Christ-center ethos that runs through all we do. We ask women to ACCEPT the good, the bad and the ugly. We ask them to CONFESS their part in the healing process. We highlight God is supreme, along with His power. We must give our issue to Him and let Him heal the bits and pieces of our hearts. As God does this and we see progress in our own lives, we are GRATEFUL. As we sit and watch and wait to see what God does next, it is helpful if we are STILL.

No. Many support groups are short term, people filter in, stay a bit and wonder out. We have learned not unlike an amputee learning how to completely “re-do” life after the life altering event; at Blessed & Inspired we know that women need to know other women will stick with them for the long haul. We connect women via in person and on line events, let them self-select potential prayer partners. The prayer partners form small groups to be connected and “do life” with one another.  We have a saying “Two By Two, At the Foot of the Cross, Over the Long Haul”. This means one person is in the trenches with you, praying for you, your life, your work and your family and your progress. Days, weeks, months and years later…we hear and see answers to God’s prayers uttered on our knees before Him.
